Stowe Snowmobile Tours rents snowmobiles and gives guided tours, call them at (802) 253-6221. Tour Site and Reservation Office: Located at Umiak Outfitter on Route 100, 1 1/4 miles south of the Mountain Road. You can also check out the VAST website for lots of information on snowmobiling in Vermont. Note that in Vermont, snowmobiles can only be rented through a tour company. Rent to ride on your own is not allowed.

A Trail Maintenance Assesment (TMA) sticker is required to ride in Vermont. They are available for either the full season or for 3 days. Click here for information on obtaining your TMA.

There is food available on the Mountain Road at The Deli at AlpineMart, the Eastside Bar and Bites at the Oubound Hotel, and at Alfie's Wild Ride. All are in the same area. From Intersection LE24, take the 15B F trail and follow the signs through Percy Park. This trail will bring you into the back side of Alfie's Wild Ride and you may park there.

It's easy. When you register for your TMA online, just select Stowe Snowmobile Club as your club and you're in! Club only membership is also available the vtvast.org.
Stowe is home to Stowe Mountain Rescue, and the Stowe Police Department. If you have an emergency, dial 911.
